I absolutely love weekends, but they are always too short.
Whoever came up with the term "long weekend" must've been drinking copiously or stoned; there is no such thing. It is so depressing.

I've been thinking about jailbreaking my iPod touch. Apple has recently released these new applications, which are cool, but then they charge you 20 bucks (that's in bucks, as in US currency) for the software upgrade, which includes the apps.
So I was thinking, might as well just get a jailbreaking software from the net and download third party apps as well. Plus they're free.
But then you get all these horror stories about the iPod not functioning properly after you jailbreak it, and how it will suddenly become infected by all these weird bugs and stuff. People say that the rumours are generated by Apple themselves to make people desist their jailbreaking attempts, but then again, you can never be too sure.
Probably should wait a little while more and see how it goes. Or maybe I could go sign that lame petition for Apple to give out the apps FOC for all iPod touch and iPhone owners.

It's MONDAY tomorrow. I'm already starting to feel the blues coming on just thinking about it. If only it is scientifically possible to be allergic to school, like, start breaking out in hives when you're in the vicinity or something. I swear, I would MAKE myself school-allergic if that were a plausible medical condition.
Screw it. There's homework to be done.

As a last note: The tomato herb linguine and salmon scramble at The Coffee Bean is good. Really good. I've rather been addicted since last year, but the enthusiasm has died down a little somewhere during july. However, I am pleased to announce that the passion has returned with a vengeance starting today. :D
So if for some reason you need me during lunch hours, you know where to look.

I caught Le Grand Chef today!

Went to great world gv with mom, sis and aunt annie. Too bad brenda wasn't there; she'd have liked the film, I think. If something's korean, you can safely bet that she'll like it.

Anyway, the movie was great. There is some seriously amazing acting involved in this gem. The storyline is creative and well thought-out, the cast are superb (especially Kim Kang Woo!). The film is filled with these mouth-watering food scenes, and a good variety of subplots on the side, both funny and emotional. And though I usually find flashbacks annoying and confusing, the ones in this piece were as effective to the plot as they were entertaining. All-in-all, Le Grand Chef is absolutely delightful; it'll make my top movies 2008 list, that's for sure. It's not just, or always, about food, but also the philosophy, history, ingredients behind it, and plenty of heart.

Now that's what I call good entertainment.
And now I've got a new hot guy to craze about. XDDD

so we heard the announcement this morning, and Sarina and Adel immediately turned round to me and we all went, "Let's go get forms later!"
lol, such perfect timing.
Jel took one for fun as well, trying to help us increase our chances by lessening the number of forms available. Nice try babe, do appreciate your efforts, but there were these big words beside it stating that the forms can be downloaded and printed from the MI link. XDDD
Girls, if any of you are reading this, just go get forms and submit them!
Whether we do get chosen eventually or not is another matter, we've got nothing to lose anyway. Let's all try to go to japan together!

Yesterday we were with Shan in the canteen crapping around, and she was telling us about this apparently hot guy with a gorgeous smile in her class called Stephan (or something).
Well woman, I've got his number! Being well-connected does have its advantages, heh.

I am so tired.
And I have no idea why. Maybe its got something to do with having pe and geog field work all in one day. I don't want to think about how bad a state I'm going to be in on thursday then.

Ms Teh wasn't in school again today. Not usually something to be thankful for, but today it is. We were obviously supposed to stay in the classroom and complete this stack of poems and their responses, but of course we didn't. Stayed in the canteen with Shan to bullshit instead. I so miss that woman. [You hear that, Shan??! XDD]

Was supposed to be able to get off school earlier than the others, since they still have math after lit, which i don't. But Mom went over to tampines to meet up with friends, and I was simply too tired and lazy to go home by myself, so I ended up waiting for her in school for like half an hour. Luckily I bumped into Hayati in the library, or I'd have fallen asleep like I was unconscious.
I've heard or read somewhere that feeling excessively tired could mean that you've got some disease or what-not. Maybe I'm sick.
...right. lol.

so Mr Imran was being a total bitch again today; early in the morning he told us that THE test will be held tomorrow. What the hell? And we've all agreed that it was to be on friday! When Hayati told him, he was just like, "That was what you guys said. Tomorrow was what I said." The asshole. So now we have to cram an entire year's worth of biology into one night's studying. And I'm already exhausted enough as it is.
fuckshit. Thanks a lot.

why am i so free?

don't i have lecture notes to revise, assignments to complete, a chinese book review to get started on, THAT biology test to study for, common test coming after chinese new year, and A level H1 papers at the end of this year?

then why am i so free?

adilah is already freaking about school shit. i'm sure loads of others are as well.
teachers are all saying "you guys should have started panicking about your studies long long time ago."
so, i'm guessing i should be wigging out together with the lot of them...? oui?
but i'm not.
how odd.

i assume i should be reading, no, have read, all the lecture notes i have received since the first day of school, digested the information, and commited it all to memory. any extra info waiting in line to be taught should have been gone through several times, with questions and queries sifted out and jotted down neatly, until they can be clarified with the teacher during the next lesson. items like my one thousand two hundred and thirty-one pages worth of biology textbook should have by now been worn and tattered from all the excessive usage it is subjected to. additional details and facts outside of curriculum would be devoured nevertheless, and set aside till the time comes for it to be brandished out gleefully in exam scripts. things done for entertainment purposes only should be greatly cut down, if not entirely obliterated. internet usage should be restricted to just research and finding of data. the only books that should be touched, other than research material, are of the self-improvement type. all television sets should be left to rot unless there is an highly educational documentary showing. since every second spent doing nothing is a second wasted, and could be used for studying, there should be no breaks whatsoev-

its almost 7; that must mean dinner is appearing on the table in roughly half an hour's time.
oh, after which coffee prince will be on. so not to be missed.
and i wonder what's on cable after that.
better go check on the tv schedule, right after i finish reading the next two chapters of my lastest anime fanfiction.

my 1st day of school in year 2008 has officially ended.

my new class is ... o-kay. not good, but not totally hated either. somewhere hanging in the grey area in between. the chinese population in there is WAY outnumbered, only like 6, and that's already including yours truly.

the first two periods were whiled away with our home tutor, total waste of time. i got made the literature class rep, which is not objectional. initially i was down for the position of general paper rep, which in its own would not be all that bad either, had i not known beforehand that meyer would be our subject teacher. there's no way i'm getting myself stuck serving that loud-mouthed student-catching witch.
then we had our very first project work class. man, that class is loaded.
it snapped me up to the fact that this is going to be a truly difficult year to pass. plus we have to sit for our H1 subjects' A levels as well.
i will definitely be going bald at one point this year.

but despite all the inner angsting i've been going through today, i kind of get the feeling that i'll get through my PU2 year fine. not saying i'll swan through the damn thing like nobody's business, but fine, without much major setbacks. its just an unreliable gut feeling, but i sure hope it comes true.
another good thing is that my breaks all match with the girls', so we're set to spend our free times together.
and with my sister probably coming into mi, i might just get through this year after all.
